How to be and how not to be
What to say and what not to say
What to do and what not to do
What to aspire to and what to shy away from
Where to walk and where not to tread
And all this comes with a when…..
Often reminded…
She’s a part product of another product
Her vision is to fit into another’s vision
Her validation comes from approvers external to her
She’s a follower of other divinely assigned leaders….
That her prescribed portion in life is…
To be or make herself pretty so as to attract a suitor..
…the Lord forbid should she think or be told she falls short of this..
To look to marriage as her highest aspiration and validation in life..
To always see motherhood and domesticity as her number one priority..
To serve others always before herself
To sacrifice her interests for other people’s interests
To suppress and give up ownership of her sexuality
To be governed and directed by others…
She doesn’t own her being…..
As a child she’s owned by her parents
As an adult she’s owned by marriage and motherhood
On the whole, she’s owned by society
She may feel or be told she’s lost, if not owned by one of these “owners”….
But then……..
A new day soon dawns
A new light switches on within her being
Awakening starts and her eyes start to open
and soon her script is slowly revealed to her
She starts to read from her script..
She’s overjoyed with amazement and gratitude
As she rediscovers and acknowledges
That which she has known within for a long time..
But kept away from expression, just so as to fit into the prescribed boxes
She now starts to learn and draw her knowing from within
That whatever her background or situation
No matter what anyone thinks or says
She is complete and she is enough
She is the owner of her own life
She was created with her own code
And she is here to unfold and live out that code
She is here to take up her space
Without shrinking or tiptoeing through life
She is energy, alive with her own power
She is intelligence and she is growth
She is leadership and she is influence
She is beauty within and without
She is love and she is compassion
She is breeze and she is windstorm
She is water and she is fire
She is shadow and she is light
She is fierce and she is gentle
She is stillness and she is thunder
She is both rose and thorn
She is simple and yet complex
She is awakened to the totality of herself
She embraces her wholeness and complexity
And now walks in it without fear or shame
She is now beckoned and guided forward
To walk and live this journey of continuous unfolding
She now knows that she is a miracle of life awakening
Unfolding and reaching out to manifest as much as possible
The magnificence of life that was coded within her
A life beyond the boxes she was told to confine herself in.
She is, at last, allowing herself to live and be, whole and fully human!
